      Gebr. Gtz Machine Tools

Gebr. Gtz were German machine tool makers based in Lauter, north of Nuremberg. The company specialised in sheet-metal machinery, not only regular production types that covered a wide field of applications, but also one-off and modified examples. One of their spinning lathes, the Model PBR, was equipped with a screw-feed compound slide rest assembly and listed as a dual-purpose spinning and centre-lathe type.
The catalogue below, printed on a very flimsy paper, was published during the 1920s and discovered between the sheets of an otherwise empty notebook discovered in the back of a rust-covered vintage filing cabinet. The two pages shown have been scanned at very high resolution. Clicking on them downloads a 32 MB image that, if saved and printed out A3 in colour, will give you a lovely picture for framing - to annoy your partner?/font>
